Float Subs and Float Valves

Float Subs are machined with a float bore to enable the installation of a float valve, often referred to as a “back pressure valve”.

The Float Valve functions as a safety valve between the wellbore and the drill string, allowing downward fluid circulation within the drill string whilst preventing any backflow up the drill string to surface.

NXG Float Subs can accommodate spring-assisted plunger float valves which offer instant shut off against any potential backflow. Flapper float valves are also available to provide a completely unrestricted I.D. through the valve, whilst maintaining fast spring-assisted closure against any backflow.
